Parents play a vital role in the success of South Eugene Water Polo

South Eugene Water Polo is a club sport at South Eugene, and is therefore organized and implemented by a volunteer Board of Directors.  Players pay participation fees that cover coaching stipends, pool time, referee costs, tournament entry fees and other administrative fees.  We have a few fundraising events throughout the season to help off set costs.  We sometimes rent school buses for away games during the week, but for away games on the weekend parents are required to drive players to games.  Players are not allowed to drive themselves to out of town games or tournaments.

South Eugene Water Polo is a long established, high performing team - please contact southeugenewaterpolo@gmail.com for more information.

“Hey Everybody! My name is Claire and I am a parent of a South Eugene Water Polo player. We’ve been part of the sport of water polo now for eight years and we love it! It is a unique sport for families in the sense that most of the time the different age groups travel together and have tournaments on the same days. This gives the older players an opportunity to mentor the younger ones and the younger players have positive older players guiding them along. The coaches, players and their families get together quite a bit during the season for family dinners and fun activities and there are plenty of opportunities for parents to volunteer. The coaching staff at South Eugene is extremely talented and dedicated to the players and the sport of water polo. GO SOUTH!”
